What music would you like at your party?
Whether it is an 18th or 50th birthday, a graduation or an anniversary, I start with your taste in music. Tell me what you listen to, the songs you share with friends and who you have invited. If there will be guests of different ages, I take that into account when preparing the music.
During the party, I also choose tracks based on how your guests respond. I can move between genres and decades while keeping the preferences we discussed in mind. Seeing which songs bring people onto the dance floor helps me shape the rest of the set.
First, we look at the space.
I try to visit the venue with you to show where I would place the decks and speakers. I choose the sound system to suit the spaces and your plans for the evening. We also agree when the music will finish, taking local council rules and venue requirements into account.
I bring my own sound system. For larger events or more complex setups, I work with a trusted production partner. If you would like to add saxophone, violin or percussion to the DJ set, I arrange the musicians and coordinate their performances at the party.

Can guests request a song?
Guests are welcome to request a song. I work requests into the set where they fit, keeping the preferences you shared before the party in mind.
How much does a DJ for a private party cost?
I prepare a quote based on the type of party, its duration, any travel required and the sound system. To get started, tell me where and when you would like to celebrate and what you have in mind for the evening.
How late can the music play?
This depends on the location and local council rules. Before the party, I check the venue limits and agree a finish time with you.
Who arranges the SIAE permit?
Where a permit is required, it is arranged by whoever is organising the party. You can check the conditions for your event on the SIAE portal for private parties.
