Corporate event DJ in Sardinia

First, tell me about the schedule.

When planning music for a company dinner, convention or opening event, I start with the event schedule. I ask the organiser who will be attending, when speeches are planned and whether there will be dancing after dinner. These details help me choose the music and understand when it should stay in the background.

During speeches, I stop the music so the speaker can be heard. At dinner, I keep conversations at the tables in mind. If a party is planned afterwards, I prepare music for that part of the evening and adapt it to the guests.

Planning the sound and setup.

I try to arrange a venue visit with the organiser to show where I will place the decks and speakers. With the venue team, I agree which spaces to use and when I can access them to set up, taking the other planned activities into account.

I use my own sound system. If a stage or a larger setup is needed, I work with a trusted production partner. I can also add saxophone, violin or percussion to the DJ set, arranging and coordinating the musicians.

Planning each part of the event

When to keep music in the background, and when to dance.

  • Arrivals

I choose music for guests arriving, at a volume that lets them greet one another and talk.

  • Speeches

I coordinate pauses in the music with the team handling the speeches.

  • Dinner

During dinner service, I keep the music in the background so guests can talk at their tables.

  • After dinner

If dancing is part of the schedule, I choose tracks to suit the guests and adjust the set as the evening develops.

Setup for outdoor welcome drinks
I agree with the organiser when the music should stay in the background.

Frequently asked questions.

Can the music stay in the background during dinner?

Yes. We discuss the schedule before the event, including dinner, speeches and time for guests to talk. I set the volume to suit the seating plan and the venue’s requirements.

Can you provide an invoice?

Yes, I work through Esibirsi, the artists' cooperative of which I am a member. We agree the invoicing details when we plan the event.

How do you put together a quote?

The type of event, its duration, any travel required and the sound system. To prepare a quote, I ask for the date, venue and an outline schedule so I can assess what is needed.
